Remembering Our Brother: PA State Trooper Corporal Ronald E. Clapp

A fierce hockey competitor and member of the Pennsylvania State Police ice hockey team passed away recently. State Trooper Corporal Ronald E. Clapp passed as we are entering the 2013-2014 hockey season. We will keep him in our thoughts and prayers throughout our travels across the region for various public safety tournaments and matchups this year. Trooper Clapp, also affectionately known as "Jackass" will live on forever in our memories. The obituary for Ronald Clapp can be viewed here for more information:

The 2012 Winter Classic took place at the Penguins Pond at South Side Works on January 8, 2012. Despite having a Steelers playoff game start an hour before faceoff, there was still a great turnout!

The Icemen would like to thank all of those who attended, and especially the Philly PD team who made the long road trip out.  Special "thank you's" also go out to the following people and organizations:

Dale "The Photographer" Canofari

G and Co Design Studio - for designing our fliers and tee shirts.

The official who donated his time and refereeing experience...

and everyone else who made the event a success.

If I left anyone out please feel free to leave some comments and additional shout outs!

Photos from the event are going to be added to this website soon and many of them can also be seen on our Facebook Group page here:
